‘There are small things hiding in the landscape, disguising their colours and forms. They adjust quickly to the time of the existing landscape. Before long they face a quiescent interlude to become the scenery. While they grow unnoticed, they promise an eternal greenery season as if they had forgotten their right to cease to exist.’
Through this photographic series, Minji Choi analysed the landscape of twelve different cities in Europe, disclosing implemented camouflaging details hidden within them. In doing so, she decontextualised camouflage in order to employ it as a specific research tool, using photographs as construction material to create a micro landscape.
